First Look: Aduro Bean – Black and Tan Medium Dark Roast Coffee

Aduro Bean sent over two coffees to review on Coffee Obsessed and this Black and Tan Fair Trade/Organic blend is the first in the cup to review. When I opened up this bag for the first time, I was greeted with a beautiful set of both dark and light beans which is the basis behind the Black and Tan name. The rich aroma is filled with nutty greatness and I am really looking forward to sipping on a cup of this blend from Aduro Bean during the review process.

Aduro Bean Black and Tan Coffee

From AduroBean.com

Our first post-roast blend, Black & Tan is a mix of a dark roast single bean with a blend of a few medium roast beans. This coffee has a light nuttiness that’s complemented by a hearty boldness. Begins mellow and smooth but finishes with a sharper edge. Low acidity.

Who Is Aduro Bean?

We believe that coffee drinkers who seek the best, who wish to avoid impersonal, bulk corporations and who desire to purchase and consume fair-trade, organic and co-op coffees should stick together!

We should all make very effort to ensure that the dollars we spend fulfilling our coffee desires, be they light and tangy or dark and morose, go to those who actually make our desires a reality, rather than bottom-line corporations that purchase from huge farms using cheap labor.

We purchase our beans with an eye towards fairness and sustainability and hope that you choose the same.

Black and tan is one of my favorite non-coffee drinks, will have to try the coffee version some time.

This mix is one of my favorites! We go through a bag every 2 weeks… Their Ethiopian Yurgocheffe is also good, but this one is my favorite…
