Coffee Review: PT’s Finca Los Planes Pacamara Variety

While working with PT’s Coffee Co. on this review, you can tell right off the bat that their slogan is embedded into their company. “Without the love, it’s just coffee” And this love goes noticed…with the 2009 Roaster of the Year award from Roast Magazine, PT’s Coffee Co. has cemented their presence amongst coffee roasters. Up for review today is the Finca Los Planes Pacamara Variety out of El Salvador.

Pt’s Coffee – Finca Los Planes Pacamara Variety Review

Summary from PT’s Coffee Co.

One of our signature Direct Trade coffees, Finca Los Planes Pacamara is intensely sweet and creamy, with notes of sweet citrus and subtle red fruit.

The aroma given off by this El Salvador based blend is incredible. Right off the bat you can sense the citrus notes being given off by the steam as you take in your first sip. The smell you take in really compliments the experience as you part take in a cup.

This medium bodied coffee out of PT’s Coffee Co. is smooth with a hint of citrus (orange if my taste buds are going in the right direction). While this is a medium blend coffee, it is met with a nice aftertaste that is also smooth and not too strong. This makes it a great coffee for those that like a medium blend coffee that is not too harsh. Without trying to sound too much like the description on the bag, the Finca Los Planes Pacamara blend really is creamy smooth. As you take in the coffee and enjoy the in suing moments, everything is met with ease as you get ready to take in your next sip.

Typically, the more citrusy blends are not my go-to blends, but I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the 16 oz provided for this review.

I have a really hard time finding the flavors in coffee. I am a huge fan of it, but unless I let it cool a bit the heat just kills the flavor profile.

I like the review though and you have a nice site.

It takes me several runs and then I am still only stating my opinion on the individual flavors. Everyone’s taste buds react differently to things!

Yes, Robb, thank you for this.

Thank you for describing to me a wonderfully tasteful and interesting blend of coffee heaven as I sit here at work with watered down Folgers. It’s kind of like a slap in the face.

    Ha!

Medium blends are my favorites…would like to try and get my hands on this stuff!

HAHA! Yeah…it’s hard to drink sludge after some good stuff.

PT’s is one of those companies that’s been on my list to review for a while, after reading the review, I might have to try it sooner, rather than later.
