From Intelligentsiacoffee.com:

Jasmine and lemongrass combine with a fresh citrus element to make this one of the most uniquely flavorful coffees in existence. A silky body gives the cup an enjoyable feel, and there is a pleasing resonance in the finish—a quiet echo of melon that fades quickly and smoothly into a sweetness reminiscent of honey.

Coffee Review: Intelligentsia Ethopia Yirgacheffe Coffee

When I first opened the bag of Intelligentsia Ethopia Yirgacheffee, it reminded me of a cup of coffee on a brisk, windy, spring morning on the porch with the sun rising in the distance while you enjoy a hot cup of coffee in weather that almost needs a jacket…but you are in short sleeves. That clean, outdoors smell and feeling carries throughout the tasting process as well.

The Ethopia Yirgacheffee was kind of a surprise. It is a medium to light bodied blend that is smooth across the tongue with a burst of lemon on the back end. The after taste is trademark Intelligentsia clean and the lemongrass hints increase that sensation as you finish the process.

I had some difficulty really separating the tastes out with this blend from Intelligentsia, but overall it is a nice, smooth coffee that leans to the lighter side of roasting. Out of the 3 that Intelligentsia sent this round, it is not my favorite but it is still an excellent coffee that you can enjoy in almost any occasion. This blend from Intelligentsia brings with it the consistency of an award winning roaster.
